Last weekend I held 2 workshops, in Glasgow city centre on behalf of Olympus. They were attended by over 40 people who came along to learn more about the latest Olympus cameras. Along with the people from Genuine PR and Yomego Social Media Agency, the creative team comprising of models Abi Barr and Emily Shakarji, hair and make up artist Gillian Galbraith, stylists Lynne McCrossan and Euan Plater, we utilised the unique spaces provided by South Block. Aidan Mayne from Olympus was on hand to give everyone the opportunity of using the latest micro four thirds kit.

Although the poor light was against us, we ended up with 2 great shoots and everyone seemed to really enjoy the experience. I hope to be doing another workshop in Leeds this January but probably with my Westcott continuous lighting softboxes on hand. Although the workshop’s main purpose was to let the attendees do the shooting, I managed to sneak in a few shots myself, below, along with a shot of one of the classes by photographer Chris James

  1. Neil,

I just wanted to say a “Big” thank you for your time and great advice at the Glasgow Olympus Impressions workshop. It was my first ever model shoot and your easy style made it very easy, accessible and interesting.
